Jerry Kott has made an art out of rejuvenating empty wine bottles with this enchanting series dubbed the Khrysalis and Kortex lamps. The light fixtures, which measure 17 inches in length, take on a stunning new finish that enhances the colored glass aesthetic characteristic to wine bottles. Holding promise as a great centerpiece for any home interior — in addition to being a spectacular source of energy-efficient light — the lamps are available in a pendant form and will be soon built as table lamps as well. A finalist in our Bright Ideas Lighting Design Competition, if you love the Khrysalis and Kortex lamps, vote for them here!
